Fall is my absolute favorite time of year because of the leaves are changing colors, the weather starts getting cooler, football season is back, and let’s not forget… Halloween!!! Fall is a time when most people just want to get out and do fun things with your family and there’s so much to do sometimes it’s hard to fit it all in! Living in West Virginia is so great and has so many things to offer so I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite things to do this time of year.
Top 5 Favorite Fall Activities:
1- Long Drives: if you’re like me and love the pretty Fall colors and taking photos then a drive down an old country backroad is a great Fall adventure.
2- Pumpkin Patches: There’s nothing better than a crisp Fall day spent outside finding just the right pumpkin to carve in preparation for Halloween! This can be a two-part activity too…. spend one day picking out the best pumpkins and the next having a pumpkin carving contest with friends or family.
3- Haunted Houses / Farms: I love a good scare and haunted houses and farms where I live do not disappoint. My favorite things to do is get a group of family together and head over to Millers Haunted Farm… it’s probably the scariest thing I do all year and let me tell you…. you laugh just as much as you scream!
4- Horseback Riding: My favorite thing to do any time of year is to go horseback riding. Where I live there’s not a lot of options for this so when we go on vacation I always make time for it.
5- Football: This one is pretty self-explanatory… I love a lazy Saturday/Sunday afternoon watching my WV Mountaineers play football!
